Notes of Interest:

Hometown Advantage AM Racing is set to welcome back Lake Oswego, Oregon native Kole Raz for Friday night’s ARCA Menards Series event – the General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The 1.5-mile North Carolina oval will host the fifth of 20 races on the 2025 ARCA Menards Series schedule, a cornerstone in the development pipeline for NASCAR’s top three national divisions.

Friday’s race marks Raz’s seventh start with the Statesville, N.C.-based AM Racing organization. He most recently drove for the team at Talladega Superspeedway, where he demonstrated race-winning speed before a flat tire, caused by track debris, dashed his hopes of securing a breakthrough victory.

Raz has opened the 2025 campaign with impressive consistency, earning back-to-back sixth-place finishes in ARCA Menards Series national competition at Daytona International Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.

He followed that with a strong runner-up performance in the ARCA Menards Series East opener at Five Flags Speedway in March.

Most recently, Raz continued his momentum with a seventh-place finish at Rockingham Speedway, overcoming a ninth-place starting position in the second East Series race of the season.

About Kole: Kole Raz is a 21-year-old first-generation Lake Oswego, Oregon, driver. He enters the ARCA Menards Series platform after competing in various Super Late Model divisions along the West Coast.

Raz is a 22-time Super Late Model winner, with victories last season, including the 2024 Chilly Willy 150 winner, the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Salted Metals 150, and the Star Nursery Classic at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Last year, Raz also scored his first ARCA Menards Series West victory in a thrilling finish at Kevin Harvick’s Kern County (Calif.) Raceway.

In addition to his many Late Model wins, Raz is a two-time NASCAR Arizona state champion.

He’s Back Too!: To help guide Kole Raz and the AM Racing team toward victory at Charlotte, veteran crew chief Ryan “Pickle” London will return to call the shots atop the pit box for the No. 76 Ford Mustang.

A seasoned NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series crew chief, London rejoined AM Racing in early 2023 after previously serving as truck chief during the team’s 2020 Truck Series campaign.

London brings a wealth of ARCA Menards Series experience, having led drivers such as Tom Hessert and Frank Kimmel to pole positions and guiding Grant Enfinger to victories at Berlin (Mich.) Raceway and the DuQuoin (Ill.) State Fairgrounds in 2014.

Most recently, he served as crew chief for West Virginia native Christian Rose in 2023 and 2024. Under London’s leadership, Rose collected five top-five and 23 top-10 finishes in 40 ARCA starts, while finishing third and fifth in the overall ARCA Menards Series standings over the past two seasons.

Alongside his two ARCA victories, London has amassed numerous top-five and top-10 finishes in the series, further cementing his reputation as a trusted and accomplished leader atop the box.

Kole Raz ARCA Charlotte Motor Speedway Stats: Friday night’s General Tire 150 will mark Kole Raz’s first career start at Charlotte Motor Speedway in ARCA Menards Series competition.

Located in Concord, North Carolina, Charlotte Motor Speedway is one of the premier motorsports venues in the United States. Since opening in 1960, the 1.5-mile quad-oval has become known for hosting marquee NASCAR events such as the Coca-Cola 600 and the Bank of America ROVAL 400.

The expansive complex also includes a state-of-the-art road course, a dirt track, and the zMAX Dragway — the world’s only four-lane, all-concrete drag strip.

Now, the fast intermediate oval presents yet another new challenge for the Oregon native as he looks to maintain his early-season momentum while continuing to build experience at unfamiliar tracks.

Kole Raz Career ARCA National Series Stats: Friday’s 100-lap race at Charlotte will mark Raz’s fourth career ARCA Menards Series start.

In his first three starts of the season, the Oregon native earned season-best sixth-place finishes at both Daytona International Speedway and Phoenix Raceway in early March.

So far in 2025, Raz has continued to expand his ARCA experience, tackling new tracks such as Daytona, Five Flags Speedway, Rockingham Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway.

Charlotte will serve as the fifth new venue added to his growing résumé this season as he works to sharpen his adaptability across a variety of ARCA circuits.

Across 13 career starts on the ARCA platform, Raz has collected one win, four top-five finishes, and 11 top-10 efforts.

AM Minute: It’s a busy weekend for AM Racing, with both their ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series teams in action.

At Charlotte Motor Speedway, Harrison Burton will continue his campaign in the No. 25 Dead On Tools | DEX Imaging Ford Mustang, aiming for his seventh top-10 finish of the 2025 Xfinity Series season.

Burton is set to make his third Xfinity Series debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway, taking the green flag on Saturday afternoon, May 24.

On Charlotte Motor Speedway: “I’m really looking forward to making my first start at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It’s one of those iconic tracks that every driver dreams about racing on, and I’m excited for the challenge.

“We’ve had a strong start to the year, and even though it’s another new track for me, I’m confident that the AM Racing team will give me a fast car. I’m just focused on learning as much as I can and continuing to build on the momentum we’ve had so far.”

On Goals For Charlotte Motor Speedway: “My main goal this weekend at Charlotte is to keep learning and make all the laps. It’s another new track for me, so maximizing seat time and giving solid feedback to the team will be important.

“If we can stay out of trouble, run all 100 laps, and come away with a strong finish, that would be a successful night for us. We’ve had good speed this year, and I want to keep building on that each time we hit the track.”

On The 2025 Season: “I’m really proud of how our 2025 season has started. We’ve been competitive everywhere we’ve gone, even at tracks I’ve never raced on before. The chemistry with the AM Racing team has been great, and each week I feel like we’re getting stronger.
