Junior Journey: AM Racing will embark on its junior year journey in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025 with driver Harrison Burton for the entire 33-race tour, continuing with Saturday afternoon’s running of the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway.

Future Focused: In September 2024, AM Racing announced that NASCAR Cup Series winner Harrison Burton would join the family-owned operation to pilot the team’s No. 25 Ford Mustang, beginning with the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season-opener from Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on February 15, 2025.

Burton, a native of Huntersville, N.C., has been a staple in the NASCAR Cup Series for the past three seasons but will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series, continuing his relationship as a driver of the Ford Blue Oval.

Burton, 24, arrives on the scene at AM Racing after a 108-race stint driving for the historic Wood Brothers Racing team.

Welcome Back, AirBox!: Long-time AM Racing partner AirBox will increase its partnership with Harrison Burton and AM Racing and serve as the team’s primary partner for the series’ visit to Kansas Speedway for the sixth time during the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

Founded in 2017, AirBox, the industry leader in commercial indoor air quality (IAQ) solutions, is delivering healthier indoor environments through advanced air purification.

AirBox specializes in implementing ASHRAE’s performance-based ventilation (IAQP), enabling clients to achieve significant energy savings while meeting high standards for occupant health and wellness.

Their High-Volume Air Purifiers (HVPs), manufactured in North Carolina, combine Certified HEPA and Advanced Molecular Adsorbent technologies with IAQ Verification Testing and expert engineering and analytical science support to provide a turnkey approach.

With a proven track record and unmatched expertise, AirBox continues to lead the way in creating safer, healthier indoor environments for all.

The 28th race of the season marks the sixth and final time this season that AirBox has held the primary role with the family-owned team.

In addition to Kansas Speedway, their livery was showcased at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in June, followed by Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway, Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International, Portland International Raceway, and most recently at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on September 12, 2025.

Welcome to the Xfinity Series Playoffs!: With their finish in the recent NASCAR Xfinity Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Ill., Harrison Burton and AM Racing secured the final berth in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs, clinching the 12th and last remaining spot for the seven-race dash to the Championship 4 at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway in early November.

Heading into the second race of the Round of 12, Burton is seeded fifth in the Playoff standings, nine points above the elimination cutline in eighth — currently occupied by Taylor Gray.

The Playoff journey began two weeks ago under the lights at The Last Great Colosseum, Bristol Motor Speedway, and continues this weekend at Kansas Speedway.

The opening round concludes with the final road course event of the year at the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway ROVAL on Saturday, October 4.

No matter what unfolds over the seven-race Playoff stretch, Burton and AM Racing are guaranteed a top-12 finish in the championship standings.

At the conclusion of all 33 events on the 2025 Xfinity Series schedule, the No. 25 AirBox Ford Mustang will rank no worse than 12th in the final points.

This significant milestone marks the first time AM Racing has advanced into the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs.

The organization launched its full-time Xfinity Series program in 2023 and, in just its third season of competition, has earned the opportunity to contend for a championship.

Bristol Motor Speedway | Food City 300 Race Recap: The NASCAR Xfinity Series journeyed to Bristol Motor Speedway for the opening round of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs under the lights.

For Harrison Burton and the AM Racing team, the mission was to leave the “World’s Fastest Half Mile” with a solid finish and a positive step forward in their quest for the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway in November.

The one-day show opened on a high note with Burton posting the seventh-fastest lap in practice. A short time later, he backed up that effort in qualifying, again clocking in seventh and earning valuable track position for the demanding 300-lap race.

From the drop of the green flag, Burton showed strength in his No. 25 AirBox Ford Mustang.

The team executed a strategy call in Stage 1, electing not to pit at the end of the segment, which allowed Burton to battle for crucial stage points. He delivered with a strong third-place finish in the opening stage.

Following a pit stop under caution, Burton restarted mid-pack but methodically worked his way back toward the front with a balanced race car. By the end of Stage 2, he was knocking on the door of the top-10 once again.

In the final stage, Burton returned to form inside the top-10 and showcased quick reflexes to narrowly avoid a multi-car incident at Lap 275 that unfolded just inches ahead of him.

Over the closing 17 laps, he maintained his position and crossed the line seventh, completing a weekend sweep of seventh-place efforts in practice, qualifying, and the race.

The result marked Burton’s 10th top-10 finish of the 2025 season — a new single-season record for AM Racing’s Xfinity Series program.

Harrison Burton Quoteboard:

On Kansas Speedway: “I’m really looking forward to getting back to Kansas Speedway this weekend. It’s a track that’s always been fast and challenging, and it’s one where I’ve had some good runs in the past.

“We’ve worked hard to put ourselves in a good position in the Playoffs, and our goal is to keep building momentum and stacking solid finishes.

“The AM Racing guys have been bringing me fast Ford Mustangs, and if we can execute the way we know we can, I feel like Kansas is a place where we can come out of there with a really strong result.”

On Keys to Success at Kansas Speedway: “Kansas is a place where track position and balance are really important. The groove moves around a lot during the race, so being able to adjust and find speed in different lanes is a big key.

“You’ve got to keep up with the track as it changes, especially late in the run, and making the right adjustments on pit road can really set you apart.

“If we can execute on pit road, stay ahead of the balance, and put ourselves in the right lane at the right time, I think we’ll have a great chance to be in the mix at the end.”

On Expectations for Kansas Speedway: “Kansas is a big race for us because it’s the middle event in the Round of 12 and we want to keep ourselves in a good spot above the cutline.

“We know the competition is tough, but our team has shown speed and consistency and that gives me a lot of confidence. The goal is to maximize points in every stage, stay mistake-free, and put ourselves in position to contend for a strong finish.

“If we can do that, we’ll keep control of our Playoff destiny heading into the ROVAL.”

On Making the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs with AM Racing: “Making the Playoffs means a lot to me personally, but even more so for everyone at AM Racing and for our marketing partners and everyone at Ford Racing.

“This is the team’s third year in the Xfinity Series, and to already be a Playoff contender shows how much progress has been made in a short amount of time. I’m proud to be the driver who gets to represent them on this stage.

“Ford has been behind me throughout my career, and being able to carry the Blue Oval into the postseason is something I don’t take for granted.

“Now the goal is to keep building on this and show what we’re capable of over these next seven weeks.”

On Bristol Motor Speedway Finish: “Bristol was a solid night for our AM Racing team. We unloaded with speed, qualified well, and were able to get some important stage points early, which was a big boost for us in the Playoffs.

“The car was really balanced most of the night, and even when we had to restart deeper in the field, we were able to fight our way back toward the top-10.

“Avoiding that late accident was huge, and to come away with another top-10 and set a new team record means a lot. It’s the kind of consistency we need to carry through the Playoffs.”
