Austin Wayne Self Pre-Race Quotes:

On Richmond Raceway: “I feel really good about going to Richmond this weekend, especially with the momentum our AM Racing team is carrying right now. Ryan and the AM Racing guys are doing a tremendous job and bringing fast No. 22 GO TEXAN | AM Technical Solutions Chevrolet Silverados to the track and I think we can contend for our second straight top-10 finish on Saturday afternoon.

“Richmond is about track position and tire management. Being able to start inside the top-10 is going to help our position on the track, but we just need to make sure the balance is drivable and be as conservative as we can until its go time in Stage 3.”

On Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway Dirt Finish: “I had an absolute blast at Bristol with our No. 22 GO TEXAN | AM Technical Solutions Chevrolet Silverado. The track continued to change throughout the race – but luckily we adapted as best as we could and we still had a fast truck.

“I was bound and determined to bring the guys and our partners home a top-10 and that’s exactly what we accomplished. It was a great confidence booster for our team.”

On 2021 Season After Five Races: “Honestly, I think we have proven a lot as a race team in 2021 but there is still more work to be done.

“Our trucks have been fast, but the series is extremely competitive this season. We just need to stay focused and come to the track worried about the performance of our No. 22 GO TEXAN | AM Technical Solutions Chevrolet and hope everything else will work out for itself.”
