AM Racing’s huge investment for the future continues with 2020 initiatives

STATESVILLE, N.C.: With the 2020 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season-opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway next week, AM Racing recently completed a successful transition to its new headquarters in Statesville, N.C.

The family-owned team officially made the announcement Wednesday morning with driver Austin Wayne Self and team principal Tim Self in conjunction with Jordan Anderson Racing who will also operate his fulltime NGROTS team from the same location.

Set for its fourth full-time Truck Series season under the AM Racing banner, the team will operate the 2020 season from its new 30,000 square foot shop in Statesville located off Interstate 40 East.

Moving from its previous location in Mooresville, N.C. to Statesville, N.C. provides opportunity for the organization to increase its current fleet of Chevrolet Silverados’ while also provide the scope for the team to expand its operation in the near future.

“This was a huge project, but we’re glad to be settled into our new home,” said AM Racing team manager Kevin Cywinski. “Our move to Statesville expands our capabilities in nearly all aspects of our race team including chassis dyno, body and paint, fabrication, 3D printing and much more.

“More than anything though, this transition signals our commitment to continue to grow and strengthen AM Racing into a championship caliber operation and we look forward to getting the new season underway.”

AM Technical Solutions (AMTS) Board Member Mike McAndrew also announced at the unveiling Wednesday that the company will continue to support AM Racing in a major partnership role this year.

AMTS has been a longtime supporter of driver Austin Wayne Self dating back to his ARCA Menards Series East and West competition in 2013.

“The core of the AMTS brand is ensuring that partners and sponsorships are connected to those enterprises that are aligned with our cultures and values.  This is immensely important for us, and AM Racing and Austin Wayne Self fit those categories perfectly,” McAndrew said.

“At AMTS, we have high aspirations for the company in 2020 and we know AM Racing have bold ambitions of their own and look forward to reaching those goals together.

“We also want to thank the fans that follow the sport so closely. Without the fans, none of this would be possible.”

AM Racing team prinpcial Tim Self added, “Our growth and investments in NASCAR have been and always will be intentional, measured and based on long term sustainability. Our five-year plan has been to be at a level where we can compete for wins in 2020 and be a solid championship contender in 2021.”
