Hailie Deegan Quote: “We definitely started farther back in the field than we wanted to with our No. 15 AirBox Ford Mustang. We tried to use some strategy late in the race to allow us to contend for a top-10 finish, but two laps after we pitted the caution came out.
“Thankfully, through hard work and a little bit of luck, we were able to bounce back and score at a top-20 finish at the checkered flag. Obviously, it’s not the finish we wanted, but it’s nice to see a hard-fought effort rewarded with a decent result.
“We will continue to stay positive and look ahead and hope for the best at Portland International Raceway this upcoming weekend.”
